HOUSTON Baratas Hombre Nike Air Force 1 Flyknit Bajas Grises , July 23 (Xinhua) -- At least nine undocumented immigrants died after being trapped inside a tractor-trailer at a Walmart parking lot in the southern Texas city of San Antonio, officials confirmed Sunday afternoon.
"We're looking at a human trafficking crime here," San Antonio police chief William McManus said. "Checking the video from the store, we found there were a number of vehicles that came in and picked up a lot of folks that were in that trailer that survived the trip."
The crime came to light when a man in the truck asked a Walmart employee for water. The employee brought water for the man and called the police.
Police were then called to the parking lot and found eight dead and 31 injured inside the trailer. A ninth victim died in the hospital and several people are still in critical condition at local hospitals.
San Antonio fire chief Charles Hood said the people were in the trailer without any type of liquid.
In the midsummer heat of Texas, where a temperature of 38 degrees centigrade scorched San Antonio on Saturday Hombre Nike Air Force 1 Bajas Verdes Baratas , the trailer did not have a working air conditioning system, said Hood.
"Unfortunately, some of them were severely overheated, and that was a refrigerated truck with no refrigeration," he said.

These kinds of horrific tragedies are occurring with shocking frequency in San Antonio, which has become a center of human smuggling and trafficking.
"Fortunately there are people who survived, but this happens all the time," McManus said.
San Antonio is a U.S. city close to the border area with Mexico. Border patrol agents have reported an increase in smuggling attempts in tractor-trailers in recent weeks Hombre Nike Air Force 1 Bajas Grises Baratas , starting with 44 people from Mexico and Guatemala who were discovered after police stopped an 18-wheeler on June 19 near one of the city's international bridges.

BRASILIA, May 3 (Xinhua) -- Some of Brazil's best athletes were among the first 10 people in the South American country to carry the Olympic torch, which arrived in the capital city of Brasilia from Switzerland on Tuesday morning, beginning its journey through the country.
The Olympic flame began its 95 day journey through over 300 of Brazil's cities on Tuesday. The relay will come to an end at the Olympic Games official inauguration ceremony which will take place at the Maracana Stadium on August 5 in Rio de Janeiro.
Two-time Olympic champion in volleyball at Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Nike Air Force 1 Hombre Bajas Rojas Baratas , Fabiana Claudino, received the torch from the hands of Brazil's President Dilma Rousseff at the Planalto Palace (the official workplace of the president).
Claudino began her journey through the Ministries Esplanade, a large avenue where the public authorities buildings are located.
Claudino was chosen as the first torch bearer by Rousseff in honor of the women's volleyball team who are seeking to win the Olympics for a third consecutive time in Rio 2016.

Cordeiro experienced a dramatic moment in Olympic history when he was knocked over by a religious protester when he was leading with just six kilometers to go until the finish line at Athens 2004.
Cordeiro managed to get up again and recovered to end the race in third place, rewarded with the Pierre de Coubertin medal for his Olympic spirit.
Another moment of great excitement in the torch relay was when 12-year-old Syrian refugee, Hanan Daqqah Hombre Nike Air Force 1 Bajas Negras Baratas , carried the torch.
The young girl lives with her family in the city of Sao Paulo and was chosen in a symbolic gesture of solidarity with the world's refugees.
The beginning of the relay was not without acts of protests and support as the people involved took advantage of the relay's international visibility to show banners against and in favor of Brazil's President Rousseff.
The president is facing an eventual impeachment process against her. Currently the case is being analyzed by the Senate and if they decide to continue with the process, Rousseff could be removed from office for 180 days to allow for a thorough investigation.
A total of 141 people will carry the Olympic torch a distance of 108 kilometers through Brasilia on a route that will include .
